We Return – Same Place- Same Style

Posted: April 24, 2009 in News

Awhile ago I made the decission to close down my Survival Kids sites. This included this blog. But now I’ve launched a few more sites- and well I wanted to come back to this site in some way- but still have the content.

With this been one of the sites which I started years ago and still have most of the original content left- I decided why not bring it back to life.

Since I last posted- Survival Kids has found its way to the Wii as Lost in Blue Wii. It got medicore reviews, its a real shame.

I’ve played all the games in the series but the Wii title. And I own all but the GBC titles and DS 3/Wii.

I hope that in the future I can come here and go “check out this” with you guys knowing I’ve played them all and know what I’m talking about.

The internet was once for fansites- I want to keep that sprit up- even though we are now just a wordpress blog. But its got that old style feel to it- after all we all begain with out a domain.

Just a quick update

The kids are back this winter in a new island-bound adventure where survival skills and virtual endurance are put to the test. The subtitle of the game translates to an approximation of, “Big Secret on a Small Island” but we could tell you that it’s “The Lost Tribe of Salisbury Steak” and 80% of you wouldn’t be the wiser. The game features four characters and the ultimate goal is to use wits and puzzle solving skills to find a way off the island and back to civilization. New to the game is an animal communication system where beasts such as dolphins may be interacted with.

That bit of text which was quoted from seamlesstech is the only information we have seen since the game was announced.

But it’s almost time to buy if your in Japan. Which means Boxart and more!

Lost in Blue Play

So its been awhile, but I picked up Lost in Blue 2 again. I’m up to Day 24. I’m in the cave and I’m playing as the boy. My hunger is strong, but I need water. I grab the girl and run to the river. After a few tries of been imature when the girl bend over and running around like an idoit, I get to the river and tell the characters to drink.

That is all well, but now we are both starving. So I take the girl back to the cave and jump along the rocks to spear fish. I then go home to the cave and prepair the meal. We are having Baked Crucian and Sweetfish as well as a Sweetfish and Crucian Soup. You can guess the one which err…looks good (the soup). Those two meals take our hunger up to almost 100%, by now its almost mid-day so I run to the girl and tell her I’m going out.

Before I go out I tell the girl to gather some food as well, we then both head out from the cave. I pick up a few Raspberrys and much on them. I forgot my backpack was full, so I ran home and put the vine and the firewood into their respective areas.

I have a small rest and it takes me to almost 5, I don’t think I will adventure to the jungle today.

I decided to catch some Sardine instead. I only caught 4 when my spear broke, good thing I had a sharp stone and stick to make another one. Its now 7, I pick up some more coconuts and return to the cave.

When I return the Amy is in the cave with a huge smilie saying she got what I asked for. She didn’t pick up anything interesting. One of each item and most are mushrooms. But she also got a crab, oyster, abalone, radish, carrot and a clam.

Both of us are now thirsty again. So once again I take both characters to the river.

We return to the cave and I give the girl some of the Sardine and Coconut’s I got so she can make a meal. She makes a Clam Mystery Bake, Excellent +17%. Steamed Sardine, again Excellent, +25% (w), +5%(h). Some Baked Sardine and another Excellent meal. Only +5% though. Baked Sardine again.

I then make the fire and go to bed at 9:55, My characters all have 100% and energy, hunger, and water is at half way for each.

As you can see the past post had screenshots for Lost in Blue 3. We will now post what we belive each item looks like.

1. Necklace – It seems sharing is caring again…
2. Trumpet? – It looks really werid, one of those tribal call things?
(Clam, and 2 fish after that)
3. Broken bottle – why does he need this?
4. Bottle – For water I assume
5. Looks like some sort of berry.
6. Arrow
7. Tombstone or a note? Why you need either is a really big question.
8. Map
and the rest are logs and stuff.
